Bridget is the daughter of the late Gary Fetterly, the founder of Kane Fetterly.
With degrees in art history and interior design, she did not appear destined to enter the family business. But when her father entered into major renovations of the funeral home in 1994, Bridget was naturally asked to be in charge of the design.
“When the project was finished,” she recalls, “one of his employees decided to return to school to pursue a career in psychology. Having no real business experience, I asked my father if I could take that job, maybe only for a year, just to gain some business savvy. The rest is history.”
Through her work at the home, Bridget discovered a love of giving back to the community, something she does in her role as president of Kane Fetterly and in her work with several Montreal charity organizations.
“I am fortunate to have the job I have. I plan important events, I help people through one of the most difficult times of their life and I am reminded every day how precious life is. It is a difficult job, at times very demanding, but I love what I do.”
