Passed away on May 18, 2018 after a few months of failing health. He is predeceased by his parents Susan Rich and John Burton McGill.
John was always fun to be around and he made a great impression on all he met. He had a huge heart and cared deeply for his friends.
He possessed a great knowledge about the Catholic Church in general, and in particular, the Catholic Church in Montreal, on which he was quick to elaborate, if you gave him your ear.
John was also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order of St. Patrick’s Fraternity.
The viewing will be held at Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie (Corner Isabella), on Thursday, May 31 (2-5pm, 7-9pm). There will be a Franciscan Prayer Service at 7:30pm.
His Celebration of Life Eucharist will be held at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 5323 Notre Dame de Grace avenue, on Friday, June 1, at 10:00am. To send condolence go to www.kanefetterly.qc.ca
