It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Henry Winslade Leicester Minorgan on March 13th, age 75.
He was surrounded by love and family in his last moments.
Beloved and adored father to Kristin (Errol) Tiffany (the late Raphael); loving and caring Gopa to Grace, Sage, Logan and Ethan; best friend to Barbara (Minorgan) and his devoted and loving companion Shandy (Campo).
Known as Chef Michel around the city, once cooking for the Queen Mum during one of her visits. His passion for food was contagious which he shared with the world through his restaurants, his cooking TV shows and his Facebook groups. He was a generous teacher to many and a very compassionate man. He fought hard to the very end. May his strength and passion for life, and our great memories, help carry us through - as he with us in spirit.
A celebration of his life will be held at La Louisiane restaurant, his first restaurant established in 1991, on March 26th at 11 a.m. Restaurant La Louisiane 5850 Sherbrooke St. W.
