On July 26th 2018, our ever present love and guiding light Loris Logan (nee Henry) was beckoned home peacefully by the melodious voices of angels, four months shy of her 100th birthday celebration.
A loving and dedicated daughter of Michael Joseph Henry and Sarah Ann Williams, about whom she recounted a myriad of glorious and wonderful memories unceasingly, with heartfelt emotions. She was predeceased by her husband George Logan, siblings Stanford, Herbert, Agatha, Maggie, Vinetta and grandson Kenny, survived by brothers Austin(Lena), Michael, Predham and her sister Beryl, her four children Stanford(Monique), Hopeton, Dahlia and Lillia, grandchildren Everton, Steve, DuAne, Isaiah, Dwayne and Joshua, great grands Chenade, Justice, Empress, Marley, great great grandaughter Karma-Ja, nieces and nephew Rose, Winnie, Bee, Stacey, Mav and Oral as well her beloved extended family and dear friends.
We will miss her calm, comforting (prayers, touch, words, warm eyes, beautiful smile, hugs, lessons, voice, food, advice, listening ear etc.) compassionate, faithful, inspiring, authentic, a renascence no-nonsense lady with a tough yet cool exterior, courageous, encouraging, caring, generous, humorous, witty, wise, graceful dignity, opinionated intelligent spirit, unwavering commitment, brave, loving and forgiving soul immensely, however we will continue to celebrate her legacy with endless gratitude, mourn her through laughter and tears, comforted in knowing that her being is ever present as she reposes in the divine arms of her creator, to whom she was a devoted and loyal servant, uncompromising and steadfast she stood, grounded in her faith to the end.
A special thank you for the thoughtful, respectful and sensitive care given to mom with sincere gratitude, appreciation and love from the family to the staff of the stroke unit(K10), geriatrics(P6) at the JGH, CLSC Cavendish, Cote des Neiges Presbyterian Church, Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home and Johanne from Exotica florist.
In celebration of mom, the viewing is on Thursday the 9th of August 2018, between 7-9pm at Kane & Fetterly (5301 Decarie Blvd, Montreal QC) and the service will be held at the Cote des Neiges Presbyterian Church (3435 Cote Ste. Catherine Road, Montreal, Quebec) on Friday the 10th of August 2018 at 1pm. where mom has been a long-standing member and family. Following will be the interment and repast where we will continue to celebrate, honor and share with all her legacy of infinite love, peaceful energy and cherished memories.
Mom given the opportunity and the privilege to do it all over again, we would choose you without a second thought. R.I.P. our unconditional loving, understanding, accepting, beautiful mom. In closing your words speaks volumes mom, I seek not worldly riches, but spiritual wealth, I seek a higher form of happiness, which is heavenly bliss, I seek not religion, but salvation.
