Fetterly, Lise ( nee Petit).
(1938 – 2017)

With her daughter Bridget Fetterly and her beloved dog (Oscar) by her side, Lise died suddenly at home August 10th, 2017. Lise was the wife of the late C.Gary Fetterly, (founder of Kane & Fetterly funeral home in Montreal). Lise was the dearest mother of Bridget and mother-in-law of Paolo Bassi and beloved grandmother of her very special Alessandro (her prince). She was the sister-in-law of Heather (Bob) and aunt of Kevin, Ryan and Sherry, all from Toronto. Lise will be remembered with fondness by her small but cherished family and her wonderful and supportive friends and of course the coaches and her students in her skating world.

Throughout her teens, Lise was an accomplished single and pairs figure skater. In her 20's she continued her career as a coach and made a career for herself teaching figure skating for over 30 years. She loved all of her students and was a devoted matriarch to all of them. She had a caustic sense of humor and a great sense of style. Although she enjoyed traveling the world with her family, Lake Placid, NY held a special place in her heart. She often spent summers there skating. Throughout her lifetime, Lise’s passion for figure skating never diminished. Even after retiring in her 50’s, she would rush to the TV to catch all the competitions.
