Barbara Ann Mulcair, 1927 – 2019
Barbara Ann Mulcair, sister of the late Patricia (Mulcair) Meikle and of the late Sister Anne-Marie Mulcair, C.N-D, died peacefully on June 10, 2019 in Westmount, Quebec, the city in which she lived all of her 92 years.
A graduate of Saint Paul’s Academy, Barb trained as a secretary at the Mother House of the Congrégation Notre-Dame. She worked briefly for a patent agent before joining Dominion Textile Corporation. Over the course of more than 40 years with Dominion Textile, she served as secretary and executive assistant to several presidents. Barb was devoted to her many friends. She skied, cycled, traveled and enjoyed good times with them. She continued to make new friends well into her 80s.
‘Bob’ will be greatly missed by her Meikle nieces and nephews – Vickie, Susan (Ross Coyles), Jamie (Marthe Robertson), Heather, Tom (Melanie Rockliff) and Greg (Rachel Meikle) – and her cousins – Catherine Kelly, Helen Bremner, Kevin Danaher and Mary Perrier. She is also survived by ten great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at the Ascension of Our Lord Church, Sherbrooke and Clarke Streets in Westmount.
Visitation will take place on Friday, June 14, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 boul. Décarie in Montreal.
