BADOUR, Patrick
It is with profound sorrow that the family of Patrick (Paddy) Badour announce his passing. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He leaves his wife of 63 years, Doreen O’Doherty, his children, Terry (Gail Wolfenden), Brian, Brigeen (Gerry O’Keefe), grandchildren, Catherine, David and Michael Badour, Alex Badour and Katie O’Keefe, three adorable great grandsons, Matthew James and John Patrick Badour and Ernest Patrick Coombes and a fourth Badour great grandson expected in February.
Born in Montreal on September 1, 1933, he was the second of seven sons, his brothers, Bob, Tim (deceased), Bill, Lorne, Jackie (deceased) and Dan. He was an employee of Maxwell Cummings and Sons, where he spent many happy years working in a company and for a family he loved. Upon retirement, Paddy and Doreen relocated to their cottage in St Adolphe d’Howard, where they had a wide circle of family and friends. Paddy loved gardening and golf with his buddies at St. Agathe Golf Club. He was a past president of the RUMPS group. Winters were spent in Boca Raton, Florida with more golf and good friends and fun times with his Berkeley Square neighbours who elected him their condo association president for several terms.
His illness was unexpected and unforgiving, but mercifully short. He was treated so professionally and with such care at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Mt Sinai Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit, RVH. The family wishes to convey its deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurses and staff of both hospitals. They treated the whole family with kindness and love.
There will be a Celebration of Paddy’s life on Friday, November 2nd at 12:00 noon @ Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home 5301 Decarie Blvd Montreal, H3W 3C4
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Paddy’s memory to his favourite charity: Nazareth House 1197 Seymour St Montreal, Quebec H3H 2A4
Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness of farewell, When I embark;
For tho’ from out our bourne of Time and Place The flood may bear me far, I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crost the bar.

REST IN PEACE, PADDY DARLIN'
