It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Schnitzer on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Nick was predeceased by his wife and the mother of his children, Julie McCarthy. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Coughlin Dunn; his sisters Margaret (Dave Haas) and Barbara (Franklin Hughes); sons Bill (Rita Ceccucci) and Rob (Jenny Caron); his daughters Laura (Chris Lalonde) and Anne (Don McCaffrey); his grandchildren Rebecca Schnitzer, Daniel Schnitzer (Kayla), Julianne and Emily Daze, Nicholas Lalonde, Andrea Alcorn (Brett), David McCaffrey (Alanna); his great-grandson Rylan Schnitzer; and by Kay’s daughter Julie Dunn (Conall Francoeur) and grandson Cashel Dunn Francoeur.
Visitation at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd (corner Isabella), on Thursday, January 24, from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Ignatius Loyola Parish, 4455 West Broadway, on Friday, January 25, at 11 a.m.
