To Donald and Family,
I don't think we ever met but my name is Karen Evans. My mom, Maureen Evans was a friend of Jini's. They first met in grade school, at the convent. Jini was my God Mother. My family moved away from Montreal when I was 5. However, Jini made an effort to stay in contact.

She made me feel special on so many occasions. I still have the ring she sent me on the 12th birthday. When I was 15, my family moved back to Montreal for a year while my dad worked on his masters degree. I will always remember the flowers she sent me when I arrived.

Over the following 30+ years, we had many visits together. She would come to Vancouver Island and visit my parents every few years. Our last visit was around 10 years ago when mom and I spent several days with her in Montreal. Over the last few years, Jini continued to stay in contact, mostly through Messenger. I will miss her. She was a special person in my life. I will remember her for her generous and loving spirit.
