Passed away peacefully having bravely lived with the consequences of her cancer surgery for the last seven years. Daughter of the late Joseph R. Dupuis and Marguerite Munich. Loving sister to Donald (Sylvia Côté, Jini's exceptional constant companion and caregiver during her last several months), Carole-Anne Jackson, of Calgary, Alberta and Robert (Deborah Arsenault). Loving aunt to Amanda Jackson-Burdick (Todd Burdick) of Calgary, Alberta, Kinley Jackson of Richmond, B.C., and Katherine Dupuis (David Del Grande) of Toronto, Ontario. Great-aunt to Rhys and Brielle Burdick, Adelaide and Alexander Del Grande. She will be deeply missed by many dear friends including Elizabeth (Betty) Vargas Mergl who were like sisters for almost eighty years.
Visitation at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Wednesday, August 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass wil be held on Thursday, August 29 at 10 am at the Resurrection Chapel of Notre Dame des Neiges Cemetery, 4601 Cote des Neiges Rd.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to Doctor Philippe Michel as well as the staff on the 8th and 5th floors of the Jewish General Hospital for the gentle and dignified care provided to Jini in her final weeks.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation or the Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
"Peacefully sleeping, resting at last, the world's weary troubles and trials are past. In silence she suffered, in patience she bore, T'ill God called her home to suffer no more."
