Madeleine Supino, age 65, passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2019, at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal.
She was born March 25, 1954, in Montreal, to Dominic and Erminia (Lapenna) Supino. Beloved sister to Angela Supino, sister-in-law to Peter Mayka, and loving “Auntie Maddie” to her niece, Pia Supino-Mayka.
A bright, fun-loving and strong woman with a passion for art, cafes, traveling and the occasional martinis, she will be sorely missed not only by her family but by her many friends and former colleagues at the NHL.
We would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and the ICU staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care and support.
Family, friends and others whose lives Madeleine touched are invited to celebrate her life at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Thursday, November 7th from 2 pm to 5 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm (valet service available).
In lieu of flowers consider making a donation to World Vision, an organization Maddie supported, the Cancer Society or a charity of your choosing.
A private interment, at a later date, will follow for the immediate family.

Maddie, you were my 'work mom' and I will be forever grateful for the guidance and caring you provided me over the years at the NHL. People like you don't come around often in one's lifetime.

To say I will miss you is an understatement.

My sincerest sympathies to your family and the people closest to you. Cheers Maddie. xoxo

Madeleine was one of the sweetest people I have ever met! My heart is broken that she was taken from us so soon, I'll take comfort knowing that she is surely in the presence of God. Madeleine I know your soul will have an easy journey into the gates of Heaven. I pray for you, your family and friends, for their pain to be lessened by the power of your love. Rest in peace.

To the Family of Madeleine Supino.

We are so saddened by the news of Madeleine's passing. Some realities are so hard to absorb, and the impact left on those of you closest to her is unimaginable. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. As suggested, we made a donation in her honor to World Vision. That is a legacy that will live on in positive ways because of her influence. It is no small thing.

Sincerely,

The Dallas Stars

I had worked with this special woman for 30+ years. When I first started, she
was, and remained so, so helpful and outgoing. You could always hear the smile through the phone - no matter the question.

I do not think I would have gotten through my first year without her support.

Madeleine will always be someone that would make you smile when you thought of her and in this stress-filled world - we definitely need more like this wonderful woman that went through some much, throughout her life, but her optimism never "wavered."

Rest in Peace!!

Maddie was a wonderful person, beloved by so many in the hockey world. She was such a big help to me in my early years in the hockey operations department of the Canucks. It was so reassuring to be able to reach out to someone so knowledgeable, caring and passionate about the game whenever I needed guidance. She will be missed but her spirit lives on in Central Registry and the broader hockey community.
Rest in peace, Maddie.

I am among the many who knew her as 'Auntie Maddie" ♡ My deepest condolences for your unexpected loss :( I will always remember her as the woman who inspired me to be a girl boss. She was a strong, independent woman working my dream job at the NHL.
Heaven is lucky to have her and she will live forever in my heart...
