MALONEY, Elizabeth Mary Hoskinson, on December 1st of cardiac amyloidosis.
Leaves to mourn her husband Antoine Maloney of 47 years, her two beloved sons Liam Maloney (Shaunna Thatcher) and Edward ‘Ned’ Maloney, and much loved grandson Carver James. She is also survived by her close siblings Cathrin Hoskinson (Tom Fischer), Dr. Michael Hoskinson (Gisele) and Joan Hoskinson (Petrus Pienaar).
Our Lizzie inspired all of us to be more empathetic, compassionate and creative. Elizabeth had a long career as an editor and writer, and made many friends and colleagues at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, McGill University, and Helen R. Kahn Books.
The family would like to thank the Cardiology, Oncology, Pneumology, and Palliative Care teams at CHUM through the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dans la rue, CHUM Foundation, and St. Patrick’s Basilica. Funeral Mass will be offered Friday December 6th at 2pm (gathering with family at 1pm) at St. Patrick’s Basilica, 460 Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest with reception and memories following at Congress Hall, 454 René-Lévesque Ouest.
