Dear Claudia,
My sincere condolences. When I came into the rooms three and half years ago I would often see Ken at many meetings (I often went to three a day) including "come as you are" , Shadows and "Music in recovery", he was one of the people that would put me on the edge of my seat when he spoke, no nonsense, raw and true with a shadow of humour and kindness. I will miss his presence, may he rest in peace. My thoughts go out to you and your loved ones during such times of deep sorrow.
With peace and love, Claire

My heart sank today when I heard about Ken's passing. Although I had known Ken for the better part of 30 years, I only got to KNOW him recently. He had a robust sense of humour, which I always appreciate ...aside from that bold British accent and sage words, he was a kind should. He truly left his mark on this world. Condolences to Claudia and the family. Ken will truly be missed by one and all.

From: Paul Lifsches

From Ken, I learn(ed) strength of character. Undoubtedly, he would attribute his success over personal challenges to the support of others; nevertheless, he remained ever-willing to do the work—with a stiff upper lip.

However, a stereotype, he was not! Ken often expressed the love, warmth and joy he experienced with his family, especially his grandchildren. An example of his wisdom is how he avoided preaching; but when we met in the physiotherapists office, I was told, in no uncertain terms, what worked for him and the difference it would make in my life.

I guess what I’ll miss the most, because we hadn’t shared much time one-on-one, is his presence in the room, in his regular spot, making me feel at home and that I was with friends friends and giving me a sense of consistency, stability and that there’s some things I can depend on.

He will be missed by many, but my sincere condolences to Claudia, and the rest of Ken’s family, for their loss.
