In loving memory of Emelda Pope who passed away peacefully at her home on Nov 12th, 2020 at the age of 68. She devoted her life to her two beautiful daughters Amanda and Natasha and her grandchildren Khadijah, Anisah and Jamil.

Born in Belle Garden, Tobago she was a proud Tobagonian who never missed a cultural event with her flag tied to her purse. She was a true Trini to the bone who loved music and dancing. She also loved to cook and host dinner parties which had lots of food and lots of laughter. She loved to see you eat and enjoy her food. You would never leave her house empty handed, even if all she had was a candy.

Emelda will be remembered for her beautiful soul. Such a kind, genuine, selfless person with extended hands. Her smile was affectionate and could brighten up a room. She was a simple woman who enjoyed being with her family. A phenomenal, loving and proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She was a mother to all and will be dearly missed by all those who were privileged to have known her. Rest in peace Emelda Pope. And know that we will continue to honor your legacy.

From MyrleB Byron who’s been a friend, a cousin from kindergarten till your untimely death. I will miss you dearly, particularly our Sunday calls when we’d go on our memory lane remembering our childhood adventures and wondering about the whereabouts of mutual friends. Rest In Peace, my friend.

To the Pope Family:
Sending my deepest sympathies. Sending all my love and comfort during these trying times

It's with a very heavy heart I write this note of condolence to Amanda, Natasha and the grandchildren of my Dearest and Beloved, Aunt Melda. I grew up calling her aunt Melda because of how close she and my mother Lyris London lived. There are not enough words that I know to express the sense of loss my brother Rennie and I feel upon hearing about the passing of our sweet sweet Aunt Melda. She will be sorely missed. Amanda and Natasha, please know that you and the rest of the family are in our prayers.

Our Sincerest Condolence,
Rennie London and Germaine London - McLeod

From: Maggy, Michael, Ariel, Benji, Ilan and David

Emelda has been with us since the birth of our youngest son David, almost 27 years ago. She was, is, and always will be part of our family.
Her love for Amanda, Natasha, Mifty, Khadijah, Anisah and Jamil was unconditional.
As are all of you, we are in shock that we will no longer see her beautiful smiling face again. She was full of love, grace, pride and generosity.
We miss her deeply and hope, through our own acts of kindness, to keep her spirit alive.
May the family be spared from further sorrow.
From: Adrian Duncan

From: Ludy

All my sympathies, and ,despite the pain and the emptiness, be courageous, because our Lord Jesus will eliminate our last enemy "death"
1 Corinthians 15:26

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
Revelation 21
Sincere condolences
