It is with deepest sorrow that I announce the passing of Antonio Costanzo in Montreal on June 17, 2021 at the age of 83.
Born in Italy then immigrating to Canada at the age of 13, Tony was so proud to be a Canadian and always said it was the best country in the world to live in. He was also proud to be a professor at Concordia University for over 50 years. He had a passion for teaching and for his students. He loved to discuss winemaking and cherished his memories of tending his vineyard and producing his own wine.
Tony always told me that he had a good life and was very happy. His smile would light up a room. He was generous, kind hearted and always ready to help anyone in need. He was loved and cherished by those he met along his way.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Rita, his dear sister Esther, brother Mario, children Frank and Nadine, grandchildren Brandon and Victor, in-laws Laura and John, relatives, dear friends and Concordia colleagues.
Tony and I want to thank all of our friends and neighbours for their assistance, love and support during this past difficult year. They were always there to help and their kindness will never be forgotten.
A private service will be held.
