It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Albert Aloi, of Montreal, Quebec on November 19th 2021 at the age of 87. Albert transitioned peacefully, surrounded by family, following a month long, valiant battle with a brief illness. 

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter Louise (Wally) Aloi-Miller, sons Dominic (Susan) Aloi, Steven Aloi, granddaughters Kayla (Blair) Aloi, Kelsie Aloi, grandson Michael Miller, his cherished goddaughter Karen Graham and Godson, Hasani Freeman, sisters Esther (Peter) Aloi, Rosalie (Mario) Aloi and Yolande Aloi, dear friends Merle Adams, Gerry Willett, Jacqueline Bernard, many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Domenico and Iola, his wife Martha Aloi (nee Sabar) and siblings Carmine (Evelyn) Aloi, Frances (Frank) Aloi.

From a young age Albert had a passion for automobiles, he loved to rebuild old cars and later honed his skills by attending mechanic school in the 1950s. He was a taxi driver for many years and later a worked in the trucking transport industry as a semi-trailer driver for over thirty years with CP transport.

He was a passionate hockey and baseball fan and loyal supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. He loved coaching and guiding his son Dominic as a hockey goalie, his Goddaughter as a ringette player and Godson as a hockey player.

Albert will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness, generous heart and his gregarious nature. He left an indelible impression on all those who had the privilege of meeting him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2nd 2021 from 12-3 pm and 6-9pm, and a memorial service will be held on Friday, December 3rd2021, at 11:00am. at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Albert’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada
