It is with profound sadness that the family members of the late Mortimer Carlyle Lamont Cummins announce his passing. A dear husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who was better known as Carl by his wife, Thelma, Carlyle passed away at his residence at on December 13th 2021 at 11pm. Carlyle was eighty-four years old.

 

Left to mourn are his wife of eleven years, Thelma Daniel Cummins; his children Nathalie Cummins, Ricardo Cummins, Adrian Cummins all from Quebec, Canada; stepchildren Lance Daniel, Posher Albert and Uderath Albert who all reside in St. Lucia. Carlyle will also be missed by his two grandchildren and five step grandchildren in Canada and St. Lucia.

 

Carlyle was also a fond brother of his siblings Grace Haynes residing in New York; Jasmine Pratt and Lionel Cummins who reside in England; Verna Cummins-Clarke and Dr Cecil Cummins from Barbados, and the late Murlyn Cummins. 

 

Carlyle will also be missed by his nephews and nieces: Ricardo Yearwood, Anderson Haynes, Ryan Cummins, Aze Pratt, Kirk Cummins, Everette Moore-Cummins, Andre Cummins, Dwight Cummins, Neil Cummins, Shane Cummins, Patricia Yearwood, Lauren Yearwood, Anita Haynes, Alison Cummins, Caroline Cummins and Chi chi Prat. Others also in mourning include his mother and father-in-law, Philomen Daniel and Paul Daniel, and extending to his several step nieces and nephews in St. Lucia and Canada.

 

Carlyle’s other in laws include Yvonne Cummins of England and Annette Cummins of Barbados; Chrispin Pratt, Marianne St Nole, Cera Mc Farlane, Mirium Anthony, Vanesta Daniel, Azariah Daniel, all residing in St Lucia; Marcia Glauden, Jude Glauden and Paul Daniel, all from Canada.

 

Friends also mourning Carlyle’s passing are his best friend, Grantly Waith, of Barbados and the Daniel family in St. Lucia; Jarvis Richard from Canada, and members of the Seventh-day Adventist churches in Montreal: LaSalle New Life, Westmount SDA, Mount Carmel SDA, Mount Moriah SDA and the WISDA Church.

 

The Celebration of Life Service of the late Mortimer Carlyle Lamont Cummins will take place at the West Island SDA Church (WISDA) located at 116 rue Cartier Roxboro, QC H8Y 1GB on Thursday December 30, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow immediately at the Belvedere Funeral Complex grounds at 2025 Trans-Canadian Highway, Senneville, QC H9X 0B2.
