Kosiuk Nee Novisedlak, Ann

In Memory Of
Kosiuk Nee Novisedlak, Ann

Suddenly, on June 5th, 2022, aged 89, at St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal, after a brief illness. Ann was the beloved wife of the late Gerry, and dear mother of Mark (Leslie), Peter, Monica, and Greg (Sandra). Bubby to Justin, Samantha, Mike (Emily) and Heather. Great-bubby of Lily, Jack, Montana, and Malcolm. Ann was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary Novisedlak, and dear sister of the late Joe (the late Winifred), the late Peter, Paul (Kathy), the late Mary (the late Frank), Claire (Bill), John (Trish), the late Andy (Connie), George (Pat), Bernadette (Warren), and dear sister-in-law to her deceased in-laws Pat Cull, Bill and Nellie Kosiuk, and Mike and Mary Kosiuk. She was a kind and loving aunt to countless nieces and nephews in Montreal, Toronto, and throughout the United States. Every visit, every phone call, was a treasured moment for her. Thank you to the entire family, both here in Canada and abroad, for the love and care you gave to our mom, especially after dad's passing in 2001.

Ann was born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, on July 17, 1932, and moved with her parents to Toronto, where she lived until her marriage to Gerry in 1955. Together, they moved throughout Canada as part of Gerry's work for Joseph E. Seagram and Sons, Ltd., finally settling in Montreal in 1966.

Ann tirelessly gave of her self and her time to St. Mary's Hospital for 47 years, during which she managed the Gift Shop, volunteered in the Oncology Department, and was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary. She formed many deep bonds of friendship with the volunteer family and the staff of St. Mary's. In 2009, she was awarded the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award in recognition of her service to St. Mary's.

Visitation at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella), Montreal, Thursday, June 16th, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m. Funeral service from the Parish of the Annunciation (75 Roosevelt Ave., Town of Mount Royal) on Saturday, June 18th, 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Memoriam Fund of the Auxiliary of St. Mary's Hospital would be appreciated.

The family will be forever grateful for the kindness and care given to our mother by the dedicated staff on 5 South at St. Mary's Hospital.
