Hughes, Carole

In Memory Of
Hughes, Carole

The world seems a bit emptier today. On July 12, 2022 Carole G. Hughes passed away peacefully at the age of 86. She was surrounded by her children.

She was the glue that kept their small yet unique family together. A maverick in her time, Sinatra's My Way was but a hint as to how she lived her life.

She is survived by her two children David Maislin (Marie-Josée Leduc) and Samantha Maislin Dickson (Ross), her grandchildren Alexanne, Samuel, Laura and Elizabeth, her brother Alfred Hughes (Yvonne), her sister-in-law Beryl Hughes, and her many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held  from 1 to 2 p.m. on July 19 at St-Patrick’s Basilica (460 René-Lévesque Blvd W - suggested parking: Queen Elizabeth Hotel) followed by a mass in her honour. Instead of flowers, donations in her memory to Palliative Care McGill or the Chron’s and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Floralies Lachine for the kind and compassionate care given to Carole at the end of her journey.
