Marie-Martha Aloi (nee Sabar) passed from earth and entered into her everlasting home on Friday, May 3, 2019. She slipped peacefully into eternal sleep with her family by her side following a lengthy illness. Martha was born in 1927 in northern Quebec. Martha is survived by her spouse, Albert, who were married on August 14, 1956. Martha also leaves behind several family members. She was the devoted mother of 3 children Louise (Wally) Aloi-Miller of Chicago, Illinois; Dominic (Suzanne Walsh) Aloi of St. Hubert, Quebec; and Steven Aloi of Montreal. She was the loving grandmother of 3 grandchildren: Kayla Aloi, Kelsie Aloi and Michael Miller. She was also a loving mom of many furry pets over the years whom she adored endlessly. She also leaves behind several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a brother-in-law. Martha is pre-deceased by her sister, Marie-Anne Spino, and brother, Laurent Sabar; brothers-in-law Carmen Aloi, Peter Burghardt and Mario Russo and sister-in-law Frances Lombardo. Martha cherished her time with her family, being especially delighted by her children and grandchildren. She loved nothing more than to gather her family around the kitchen table and have them enjoy her many outstanding meals made with love and care. There were almost always freshly made, baked-from-scratch sweets at home that she would happily offer to anyone who visited her. Martha never met a cat or dog that she didn’t fall in love with immediately either. Gardening, especially caring for her peonies, gave her such joy. May she rest in peace surrounded by the most glorious of flowers and the radiant love of God and of the beloved who have passed before her. May she always know how deeply loved she was by her family and always will be. Family will receive visitors at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd, Montreal, Quebec where the viewing, service and reception will all be held. On May 15, 2019, visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. On May 16, 2019, visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm which will be immediately followed by a service beginning at 1:00 pm and a reception from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.
