A sister, an aunt, a teacher, a friend and the second mother of Bianca.
Joy was born May 31, 1959, in Georgetown Guyana to the parents of the late Ismay and Hubert Samuels.
She was the fifth of seven siblings.
In 1997, she relocated from Georgetown Guyana to Montreal, Canada to take care of her dad then later her mom.
Earlier this year she was diagnosed with cancer, which she gracefully, fiercely, and courageously fought - with makeup on (my girl didn’t go anywhere without her MAC makeup and pink lipstick).
Five words to describe our Joy:
• Selfless
• Loving
• Compassionate
• Nurturing and
• Forever young
Joy Brianna may be physically gone but she will forever live on in the hearts of her family.
