We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Colleen Arthur on September 22, 2025 in her 90th year in Montreal, Canada. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Kathleen Dick and Caroline Dick. She was a cherished grandmother to Adam, Amy, Tristan and Aristotle. She will also be remembered by her siblings Marva, Nigel, Hayden, Gerda and David and was predeceased by her sisters Karen and Edris. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews Jason, Julian, Simone, Kevin, Tamara, Philanthea, Chad, and Aaron. She was the aunt of the late David Morris and Brett Arthur. She was the beloved Godmother of the late Evelyn Harding.
Colleen was born on October 21, 1935 on St. Stephen's Road, Black Rock, St. Michael's Barbados. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 and lived in Montreal. She volunteered at the Palliative Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital for 35 years. She was an active member of St. Columba's Anglican Church. She had a great passion for quilting, sewing and arts and crafts and participated in numerous quilting shows as a member of the West End Quilters Guild.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a celebration of her life at St. Philip's Anglican Church, 25 Brock Avenue North, Montreal West, at 10:30 on October 14 followed by a burial at Mount Royal Cemetery.
