It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lorraine Hazell Muise. Lorraine died peacefully on October 10th, 2024 surrounded by her family. 

She is predeceased by her mother Edna and her father Rodney Denis Hazell. She leaves to mourn her devoted husband of 44 years, Ricky Muise and her two children and her pride and joy, Richard Jr, and Justin Muise (Angela Veltri (and her sister Corrina Lalonde)). She also leaves her brother Stanley Hazell (Ginette) and her beloved sister, June (Edward Ambrose). Lorraine loved to spend time with her family including her nieces and nephews Karen (the late Kevin Kowal) and Lisa Hazell (Jason Bellware), Capt Stephen Ambrose (Mary Gabriel), Michael Ambrose, the late Cpl Christopher James Ambrose as well as her grand nieces and nephews Joshua, Scott, Jase and Chloe Bellware, Kailey Kowal and Angie Christiana Ambrose. Lorraine was a devoted mother to her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Fred and she is now reunited with her two fur babies, Fergie and Chris. In addition to being a loving mother, Lorraine had an illustrious 40 year career at the McGill University Health Centre. Her kindness, generosity, and drive for excellence will be missed by all who knew her. Lorraine was a remarkable hostess to all she lovingly welcomed into her home and her gatherings will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Kane & Fetterly, 5301 Decarie Blv. Montreal, QC, H3W 3C4 on Tuesday October 15th, 2024 from 2-5PM and 6-9PM.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick's Basilica, 460 René Lévesque Blvd. West, Montreal QC, H2Z 1A7 on Wednesday, October 16th at 10AM.

Interment will take place at Mount-Royal Cemetery at a later date.
