The family of Jacques F. Girardin announces his peaceful passing at St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal, at the age of 84, with his wife, and sister, Denise, by his side.

Predeceased by his parents, Patricia Maguire and Florian Girardin, Jacques is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Bennett, their daughter Julie, his children Diane (R.J.), Jean, and Louis, his stepdaughters
Jennifer (Paul) and Stephanie (Steve), nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; siblings Esthel (Réné, Dec & Brigitte), Denise (Denis), Paul (Queenie & David), and many loving cousins and friends.

Jacques served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves for many years with great integrity and pride.

He loved music, aviation, fine wine, wool, and animals, especially his buddy "Butters," who misses him terribly.

The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 28th, at noon at St. John Paul II Parish Church, 34-34th Ave, Lachine, H8S 4B7. The family will receive condolences beginning at 11 AM in the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jacques' name to the St. Mary's Foundation (Stmaryshospitalfoundation.ca), to benefit the palliative care unit would be appreciated, with thanks to the staff who cared for Jacques with great kindness on his final journey.
