Linton Salmon

Linton Rashford Salmon was born on May 7th 1949 to Linton Sr. and Pauline Salmon in Evergreen Manchester Jamaica. He grew up along with his five brothers and one sister. He attended St.Gabriel’s Academy where he enjoyed the subjects Math and English. In October of 1970 Linton sought out a better life and migrated to Canada and six years later got married to the love of his life Carmen Brown. They would begin their family with the arrival of their first child Deanroy in May 1977 followed by two more boy’s with Craig in May 1979 and Peter in May 1982. Linton was a faithful member of The Montreal West COGOP where he served as Deacon,Usher,Sunday school teacher, and choir member. Linton worked for many years as a professional Welder at Canbec. Linton enjoyed spending time on his computer, watching the news, going for walks and talking with family and friends. He was always known for his warm personality and sense of humour. Linton passed away on the morning of March 16th 2023. He is truly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father Linton Sr and brothers Mark and Errol Salmon. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Pauline, wife Carmen, sons Deanroy, Craig and Peter, two daughter in laws, eight grandchildren, three brothers, one sister, and a host of nieces and nephews.
