After valiantly battling the effects of Alzheimer’s disease for fifteen years,
Joann died peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Emmett Boyle and her brothers Marty, Hugh, and Phil, Joann leaves to mourn her husband Heinz, her sons Peter (Leanne) & Michael (Lori), her daughter Kirsten (Martin), her grandchildren Kaitlin (Adam), Matthew, Kelly, Max, Seb and Lea, her great grandson Peter, her brother Brian (Nelly), numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and friends. An exceptional teacher, loving mother and wife, a beautiful person inside and out, she was a role model and inspiration to all who knew her.
We would like to thank the CLSC’s Katelin Murphy, Dr. Khan and Tina Aumais for their support and care.
A Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, at St. Malachy’s church at 10:00 A.M. A reception, following the burial at Notre Dame des Neiges cemetery, will be in the reception hall of Mount Royal Funeral Complex. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joann’s name to the Montreal Neurological Hospital or the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
