Elizabeth died peacefully in hospital after a long illness. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Scanlan, she is mourned by her sons Sean Matthew (Patty) and Padraic Xavier (Catherine), her grandchildren Deirdre, Nyah, Rafe and Moira, her siblings Aline (Hugh), Maurice (Jane) and Lucille, as well as many friends and relatives. She will be sadly missed by former colleagues from Queen of Angels Academy in Dorval, where she was Principal for many years, and the Québec Association of Independent Schools, where she was Executive Director before her retirement. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 1:00 P.M. at Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., Montréal (514-481-5301).
