I highly recommend Kane & Fetterly. Everyone there was so kind and empathetic. My dear sister Lorraine Muise (nee Hazell) passed away on October 10th, 2024. The outstanding staff were there for her husband and sons helping them with their plans from beginning to end. Thank God we chose the Kane & Fetterly funeral home, they treats us like family ,they were there for every question I had to ask .They helped me with all the arrangements, they call me all the time to check upon the family and our mental health. I want to give a special thanks to Christian Haentzler and Joelle Lavoie-Picard for the comfort they gave us. This is our first time with a funeral home in Canada and we were comfortable with them . Even Jamaica funeral home was so pleased with there embalming and dressing of my mom.

I recommend Kane and Fetterly completely and without reservation. The service offered is top-notch and beyond compare. In December 2023, I lost my beloved mother, unexpectedly. I rang Kane & Fetterly and had the good fortune of being connected with Christian Haentzler. He is exactly the person you want in these sorts of situations. He is genuinely kind and compassionate and will gently guide you through the process without making you feel pressured. He supports you in making the choices that are right for you and on the day of the funeral is present to ensure that everything runs smoothly. I found the amenities to be perfectly suited to my needs. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the kitchen is fully equipped, there is a playroom for children, and valet parking, if needed. They are even equipped to livestream the service, for those unable to attend in person. I felt fully supported and cared for and am certain you will feel the same.

I would like to thank the team at Kane and Fetterly for the respectful, professional care our family received at the time of need. Christian Haentzler , funeral director, went out of the way to help us with last minute arrangements that were really unaccepted. Jane Blanchard, provided valuable advise and aftercare support with all the documents and paperwork.

On behalf of our entire family, I can’t say enough good things about Kane and Fetterly. Our mother Patricia was born and raised in Montreal and recently passed away in the Toronto area. Our father had passed away 20 years ago and all of us children no longer live in Montreal (my father Ron’s funeral was also handled very well by Kane and Fetterly). I was quite concerned that organizing a funeral in Montreal from a different city would be difficult but how wrong I was given our actual experience with Kane and Fetterly. We did make pre-arrangements through Mary and this process went very smoothly. When our mother passed, the Kane and Fetterly team (Christian and Joelle) kicked in and everything went like clockwork, including the transfer of our mother from Toronto to Montreal. The entire funeral services and burial were handled very well by Christian and Joelle which minimized the stress to our family. At all times Mary, Christian and Joell communicated with us very well and always acted in a professional and competent manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Kane and Fetterly to all.

Words cannot express the level of compassion provided by Brian O'Connell with Kane & Fetterly. Telling our story would seem almost unbelievable. But our situation is a testament to his character and a reminder of the adage, "Your character is what you do when no one is watching."

We lost our aunt and uncle within two months of each other. Since I live out of the country, and there was no obvious next of kin paperwork available at the time, Brian took it upon himself to assist my uncle after his wife's passing, going so far as to bring him to the service and gather photos. He did not have to take this task upon himself, but he did.

When my uncle's broken heart reunited him with my aunt not even two months later, Brian heard of his passing and once again came forward to assist with a respectful burial, even believing there was a possibility of no family to assist.

Brian went above and beyond with the most incredible heart, ensuring every detail was what he believed was my uncle's wishes.

Once our family was located and informed, Brian kept me in contact and helped me arrange a proper funeral. He assisted me with everything from the significant details to the most minor ones, including recommending hotels and restaurants. Brian also arranged for us to have the service online for family overseas. He even took one of our guests home after the service.

At a time when grief was fresh and my knowledge of what comes next was nil, the care and comfort I received was heart warming.

I would definitely recommend Kane Fetterly to anyone, I had a great experience with Kane Fetterly. Mary was so sweet getting me through the process of the prearrangement for my loved one with such patients and grace, she was very timely throughout the process listening answered all our questions and making sure we got what we wanted, she even drove us to Cote des neiges cemetery to meet with guy over there to get the plot and drove us home after. After the passing of my loved one Christian Haentzler took over,very compassionate guy ,he was amazing, he stayed on top every step of the way making she sure everything was taking care of and got us connected to the people we need to, he also kept us posted if there was any changes. When our mother passed away, the staff at Kane & Fetterly were caring, compassionate and supportive. The facility is lovely with a reception area that has plenty of space for family and friends to visit and view slides/pictures. Now if they could only do something about the small parking lot.

First funeral home that took the time to explain everything and provided us with a clear break-down of all costs and services that can be provided. Mary Pallett made me and my daughter feel comfortable and patiently took the time to explain everything about the pre-arrangement service. We were so glad that we made a pre-arrangement for my father's funeral which took place just less than a month after we made it. As soon as I notified Kane Fetterly that my father passed away, Marie-Claude Mongrain took over to arrange my father's funeral in a very short time. The services and funeral were just perfect and beautiful! There were no hidden costs or surprises. Marie-Claude went above and beyond to take care of every detail for us with updates along the way: pre, during and post the funeral services up to the burial of my father's ashes a few weeks later. Despite experiencing her own personal loss, she continued to support our family. We are very grateful to Marie-Claude for her kindness, integrity, sincerity, professionalism and a caring approach.

The staff at Kane Fetterly were very pleasant to work with, in particular Jason Moore. He assisted us right from the beginning when we inquired about the details of my husband's uncle's funeral prearrangement of which we had zero details. Jason took the time to explain everything to us so when the day arrived we knew what to expect. We were very relieved to be able to continue the process with Jason as we had already established a rapport with him over the phone when we inquired about the prearranged funeral. His professionalism, knowledge and authenticity was greatly appreciated as he navigated us through the planning of the service. We are beyond satisfied with his service and would not hesitate to recommend him and Kane Fetterly.

What can I say about the services and care that Kane and Fetterly offered my family and I. Their services and care was top notch. I don’t know about anywhere else but with this company the clients are treated like a family. Our mother and father passed away in 2020 and 2024 respectively. Kane and Fetterly, in particular Christian and Jane, delivered services whose excellence and compassion offered our family great satisfaction and comfort.

We were entirely satisfied by the exemplary services provided by the entire team at Kane & Fetterly, with special mention to Paolo, Christian and Jane. They were very attentive and responsive to every detail of the arrangements and process.

Christian Haentzler and the team at Kane Fetterly were extraordinary in every respect: professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, efficient, resourceful, responsive and discrete. He, and the team, made the most difficult of circumstances far easier to manage -- and in a way that we neither expected to be so excellent nor could have wanted to do more.

This review comes with a lot of unnecessary pain, that was caused by Kane and Fetterly funeral home.
They are use to the process of burials but those who do not work in this industry and who are morning, are not aware of the process. Our mother's funeral service had to be cut short and body was rushed out because the offices at the cemetery were closing. We had 30 mins to rush her body.
We were about 70 guest, some had their entire family with them. No one from my mother funeral had time to run to their cars and join us for the procession and my mother was laid to rest with only 3x family members. It was a traumatic event that I will never forget and pain I have had to endure for a long time.
After double checking the final bill, they offered a few services free of charge, the hearse being one of them as compensation. Our family would have been happier to have paid the complete bill then to have this traumatic memory over shadow our last moments with our dear mom.
