Brues (nee Jansen), Hilde
1920-2018
On January 5, 2018, Hilde Brues breathed her last breath, ready to join the predeceased love of her life, Heinz.
Born in Viersen Germany, she and Heinz moved their family to Canada in 1954, committed to providing future generations the opportunity for a better life. Although a romantic at heart, when faced with adversity her steel will and determination enabled her to overcome all difficulties. Despite serious health problems, Hilde relished life until the end.
Hilde is survived by her son Heinz (the late Joann) and daughter Hildegard, four wonderful grandchildren, Peter (Leanne), Michael (Lori), Kirsten (Martin), and Aaron, six remarkable great-grandchildren, Kait (Adam), Matthew, Kelly, Max, Seb and Léa, and Peter, her great-great-grandson.
The family would like to thank the Bayview Residence team as well as Helen and Beverly for the exceptional care and support they provided Hilde over these last four years.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas a Becket Parish, 4320 Sainte-Anne st., on Monday, May 7th at 10 followed by internment at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Bayview Auxiliary would be appreciated.
