RODRIGUEZ Hermelina (nee Hernandez)
Passed peacefully, surrounded by good friends on December, 20th, 2018, at the age of 100.
Hermelina came to Montreal in 1957 from Avila, Spain, and worked for over 20 years in a clothing factory. In her 60s she discovered a love of drawing, and her creativity continued to blossom with Ginny at Contactivity in Westmount Park. She lived on the Plateau, then on Monkland, in NDG. She loved her time living at Manoir Westmount, and felt so fortunate to have been surrounded by such loving friends, especially Betty, Anna, Roger, Marilynn, Patrick, and Maria.
She received great care latterly at the Institut universitaire de gériatrie de Montréal (IUGM). She was a strong and admirable person, and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
Hermelina leaves behind her son John, daughter Baltasara, and over 35 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive condolences at the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd. (corner Isabella) on Friday, December 28 from 10 am until 2:30 pm, with a celebration of her life at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
