CASSELLS, Lucian 1959 - 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Lucian Cassells, known to his friends as “Luc”, on February 23, 2018 at the age of 58. This South African born young lad from Cape Town immigrated to Canada in 1965 with his mother Georgina Clark at the age of 6 and made Montreal his home. Growing up in Cote Saint Luc, Lucian attended Dawson College, and then dedicated his life to serve with the Canadian Armed Forces. For most of his career Lucian worked for the City of Cote Saint-Luc in the Public Works Department. Lucian was taken from this world far too soon and he will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 14:00 to 17:00 follow by a celebration of his life on Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Kane & Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301, Decarie Boulevard (Corner Isabella) in Montreal.
May God grant your soul and spirit, peace and eternal rest?

On behalf of my wife Elaine, members of City Council and staff of the City of Cote Saint Luc, I would like to extend my deepest condolences on the loss of Luc. He was a very special member of our City family, always with a kind word and positive spirit. He would always take extra time to speak to me, my family and everyone he knew treating each person as special. He will be very dearly missed.

Luc I was so sorry to hear of your passing - we had a common homeland (South Africa) and shared many stories not to mention that you always looked out for my grandchildren at the arena - you will be missed - the arena will not be the same without you - totsiens ou maat

My family and I knew Luc from seeing him around the various parks in CSL. We were very saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a kind and pleasant fellow, and so nice to the kids! May he rest in peace.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear

My deepest condolences to the family of Luc Cassells.
He was well known in Cote St. Luc.

I knew Luc from working together in Côte Saint-Luc, he was always a gentleman and very polite. When he was the only employee in a park with a wading pool he always looked for the young lifeguard who worked alone there. Uncle Luc kept an eye out for her. I often had confidential talks with Luc which he appreciated that I kept to myself. I will always keep fond memories of Luc May he RIP.
