It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, and grand-father, Hikmat Sukkarieh, on Jan 17, 2021, at St-Mary’s hospital in Montreal, at the age of 93. He passed away peacefully, after 10 years of kidney dialysis weakened his body, but not his faith.
He is survived by his wife (Souad), three children (Maha, Amal, and Saïd), 5 grand-children (Marc, Nicolas, Alain, Elsa, & Alex), and his brother (Izzat) and family, nieces and nephews.
Hikmat will always be remembered for his unconditional love and devotion to his family, his honesty and integrity. A humble, kind, sensitive, and hardworking man, that earned the respect of everyone around him.
May his soul Rest in Peace
Given the pandemic lockdown restriction, only a private family funeral service will be held on Thu Jan 21, 2020 at Kane & Fetterly funeral home's chapel on 5301 Boul Decarie, Montreal. The ceremony can be followed online on this website in the section below this notice.
