My condolences to Marilyn, Mathew and family in this very trying time. Bob was one of the first colleagues I met when I joined the Biology Department at Concordia, and it was my pleasure to work with him over the years. He guided our department through some major changes associated with the merger between Loyola and Sir George Williams, and later was instrumental in the building of the new Science Building. He also threw some good departmental holiday parties. I was saddened when I read of his passing this morning. He will be missed.

Dear Marilyn

I remember the remarkable closeness you and Bob shared from early University days and we saw it again when the "girls" from St. Joe's and their spouses reunited in Montreal almost two years ago. I can't imagine how bereft you and your family must feel.
We are thinking of you and wish you all the courage it will take to carry on.
With our heartfelt sympathy

Dear Roy Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathy. Bob was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He was always considerate and treated everyone he encountered with compassion and gentleness. His quiet but stellar contributions to the Department of Biology, the Sciences and University; as a result of all of the senior administrative posts he occupied at Concordia, are his lasting legacy and indelible imprint on this institution.
