On June 4, 2021, Nizar Harissi Dagher, a loving husband, father and grandfather, brother and uncle passed away, at the age of 92, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Grace (Massad) his children, Fadi, Jade (Judith Mergl), Karim (Magda Diab), Mona (Michel Akl) and Jehane (Jacques Corcos), his 7 grandchildren, Laila, Anthony and Andrew, Alessandra and Ivan, Chloé and Sophie, his sisters Dora Nasr and Leila Antonios as well as many loving relatives and friends.
A pharmacist for 60 years, succeeding his beloved father, he also was an active member of civic society. He co-founded several charitable organizations and medical dispensaries, with the aim to alleviate human pain and to assist the less fortunate. He was appointed to serve on the municipal council of the city of Saida, Lebanon and was a founding and active member of the city's Rotary Club, which he also presided.
Nizar firmly believed in education and offered some of his free time to teach in public schools.
He was guided by the words “Dieu divinise ce que l'homme humanise.”
In his memory, a private mass will be celebrated by his immediate family due to the current sanitary restrictions.
His funeral will be held in his native city of Saida, and burial will take place in the family crypt in the village of Rmeileh.
